Me and my friend wanted to refresh ra2 game on multiplayer. I ve tried to connect to europebattle.net but i cannot (i click internet>my information and then i have message: could not connect to Westwood Online). I have tried to use guide from this forum but there is information to rename wsock32.dll in ra2 folder. I do not have this file. Where can be solution? I had my own iso file of ra2 and installed it correctly (game and patch 1.006). I have good IP adresses in hosts file...

2. Open the file hosts with notepad
3. Add the following IPs beneath the last line listed in hosts file, and save the file!

I have installed Westwood Shared Internet Components and my Red Alert 2 is version 1.006

I assume these host addresses are correct at the moment, since i can ping this address and it's alive

We already tried to the patch.bat and also change it manually, also we changed the patch.bat ips and we could not create a nick.

I just came across this and I can't seem to get it working. I followed the instructions with the install exe and I get

I then looked around on this forum and edited my host file with the IP which is mentioned in various places and I get the same message.

Other RA2 servers work fine for me....

The new patcher recently released isn't available from RapidShare. Could you reupload or share host file edits?
